Brolly and friends set to return to the Symphony Hall
For the twelfth year running The Brolly and Friends Charity Concert will be taking place in the Symphony Hall, Birmingham, with a line-up of acts that are not to be missed.
The show features a whole array of singers/songwriters and acts, hosted by the radio/television presenter and local personality Bob Brolly, from Derry. The concert, which has celebrated established acts and has also launched many an artist and dancer into the limelight, promises to be no different this year.
Brolly and Friends concert is not only popular due to its contents but also the fact that everyone involved volunteers their time for free, in aid of charity.
Speaking last year after the 2013 concert, one Harp reader commented, ‘We are big fans of Bob’s and attend most of his shows both big and small, however given the size of the Symphony Hall, the acoustics are fabulously amplified but yet, Bob makes everyone feel as if they were sat next to him. It’s truly magical.’
The 2014 Brolly and Friends Charity Concert takes place on Sunday 13th July and at time of print The Harp can confirm that Fergal Flaherty, Dominic Kirwan, Marc Roberts, Liam Tamne, Louise Morrissey, the all male quartet- Forte, Annette Griffin and John Staunton will be taking part.
