Film review: The Love Punch
Director – Joel Hopkins | Cast – Pierce Brosnan, Emma Thompson, Timothy Spall Louise Bourgoin
Cert – PG | Runtime – 1hr.34m | Rating – 3
Love Punch is a romantic comedy that follows divorced couple Richard (Pierce Brosnan) and Kate (Emma Thompson), who discover their entire life savings and assets have been stolen by a unscrupulous company. The duo must put aside their squabbles and reunite to regain control and re-gather their retirement nest egg.
Tracking the head of the corporation that stole their finances to Paris, the couple set off on a journey that explores their relationship and leaves them closer than they could have ever imagined.
There are some laugh-out- loud moments and some poignant messages delivered in this light hearted and sensible comedy that I can recommend for all of the family.
