Daniel
O'Donnell and Bob Brolly are set to perform a concert for
Children in need this October |
Daniel
O'Donnell will be teaming up with his friend, entertainer and broadcaster
Bob Brolly for a special Children in Need Concert on Monday, 22nd
October. On that day, Bob’s daily programme will be broadcast
on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio from 1-4pm, live from
the stage at the Ricoh Arena and it is hoped it will raise as much
as £20,000.
The Donegal singing legend has agreed to be part of the Brolly and
Friends Children in Need event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
As well as Daniel and Bob, Eamonn Holmes, Sky Sports Presenter Chris
Kamara, the beautiful Mary Duff, and many other Brolly friends will
be taking part.
It is almost certain to be the biggest Children in Need event outside
London with a film crew in attendance to capture the occasion.
The event will be a precursor to the main BBC Children in Need event,
which is due to take place on Friday November 16.
Bob said: "Daniel has been a pal of mine for years and he wanted
to launch his new ‘Duets’ album with the lovely Mary
Duff on my radio show. Along with his press and radio promotions
manager, Mike Perry, we thought it would be great to do something
for Children in Need."
A large audience is expected at the event, which will be held in
the Jaguar Suite at the Arena.
The Ricoh Arena's management are offering facilities free of charge
for the occasion and have been totally supportive of Bob.
Tickets are now available priced at £10 and there will be a
charge of £1 for every car parked on the day, which will also
go to the Children in Need appeal.
To book call the Ricoh Arena on 0870 4211987.
