Working Well

Pat sadly passed away on the morning of the 25 January after a long battle against illness. Despite his troubles he always put on a brave face and kept himself busy by raising thousands of pounds for various charities. He was a big supporter of the band and held many fundraising dances for the band raising thousands of pounds over the years...More

RIP Séan
Mac Réamoinn

Journalist and broadcaster Séan Mac Réamoinn passed away on January 17th 2007, aged 85. The Birmingham born spokesman experienced 30 years working with RTÉ which saw Séan working both on television and radio. Séan is survived by his wife, Pat and his children.
Irish news
Lá Nua is a new Irish language newspaper that was launched in January in Ireland. The paper, which is backed by both the Irish and British government, will produce five papers a week and is available through newsagent’s, Irish speaking establishments and schools in the Ireland.
Drunk drivers last Christmas
Motoring Statistics from Northern Ireland have proved that drink driving offences over the festive period of 2006 increased upon the figures of 2005.
The offence, however antisocial and not to mention dangerous, has seemed to have been disregarded by those who were caught last year. The drivers discovered breaking the law face large fines and the possibility of losing their licence.
