Allied Irish Bank’s Senior Corporate Banker, Chris Berrington, looks forward to the next two years

Business is booming at Allied Irish Bank in the Midlands as far as corporate clients are concerned - so much so the company has brought in one of its experts to spearhead further growth.
AIB (GB) has trebled its number of corporate clients in the region during the last three years.
In recognition of the fast evolving marketplace, corporate banker Chris Berrington, will head a seven strong specialist team in his new role of senior corporate business manager for the region.
Formerly located between both London and Birmingham, Mr Berrington has moved to Birmingham full time, where he is aiming to double the bank's corporate client portfolio in the region within the next two years.
Mr Berrington said: "Living in the Midlands I am fully aware of the exciting and determined dynamics that are creating great opportunities in the financial services marketplace.
"This role places me in a perfect position to take advantage of the wealth of deals taking place and I look forward to rising to the challenge. Birmingham is now a well-established centre of excellence for professional services but we want more and are not frightened to fight for it.
"The opportunities for Allied Irish Bank expansion are enormous. The huge volume of growth in the region has created a unique depth of opportunity for us if we all continue to perform to current service levels. Allied Irish Bank (GB) is currently flying high having been voted Britain's Best Business Bank in the Forum of Private Business biennial survey for the last 12 years.
Mr Berrington added: "Our specialist team covers our more standard growth areas such as healthcare, hotels and leisure, acquisitions and medical as well as more individual specialisms such as childcare and aparthotels. We work with each of our corporate branches across the Midlands to ensure this specialist knowledge benefits our clients fully and adds true value to our service to them."
