Lotto jackpot winner scoops €7m
The biggest Lotto jackpot Win of 2006 was collected recently by a man from Co. Wicklow.
The winner, who wishes to keep his identity secret, scooped €7,425,671.
The man revealed that he
normally doesn’t take part in
the Lotto draw however he bought the winning ticket using a combination of personal numbers. He is said to be delighted with
his winnings.
Danger at work
A report recently proved a decrease in the number of work related deaths in Ireland for 2006.
Last year, fifty work-related deaths were reported as opposed to 74 in 2005. Agricultural workers suffered the most fatal accidents with construction work second. The most common causes were falling from height and losing control of machinery.
New Years Eve Murder
A thirty one year old man from Tralee, has been charged with his brother’s murder.
Albie Lonergan was charged for the murder of Michael Lonergan after Michael died from stab wounds during a party at his own home.
