All
Ireland victory on the agenda once more
Although
the weather isn’t reflecting the fact that it is summer,
June should see the first issues in the 2006 All-Ireland championships
decided when defending Hurling champions Cork take on either
Waterford or Tipperary in the Munster final.
Last year’s defeated finalists Galway will be waiting to
play their first game since the defeat by the Rebel county last
September on June 17.
2005 Football champions Tyrone will need to use the ‘back-door’ system
of the qualifiers after being easily defeated by Derry in Omagh
and will now need to go into the ‘round robin’ sequence
of games to see if they can emulate their success last year.
Runners-up in last year’s final Kerry face a semi-final trip
to Killarney to face Tipperary after overcoming Waterford in the
quarter-finals.
At this point in the season, keeping track on how your team are
doing can be a tricky business. So let The Harp take away the strain.
Below we’ve printed all the fixtures for both Football and
Hurling so you can keep up-to-date in what has happened so far,
and how the fixtures are likely to pan out.
You can read the latest GAA news in next month’s issue of
The Harp.
