Be Cool
Cert: 12A
Starring: John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Danny DeVito, Vince Vaughn, Dwayne Johnson
Director: F. Gary Gray
Running Time: 119 minutes

Released: 1st April

John Travolta returns as Chili Palmer in Be Cool, a sequel to the original comedy Get Shorty. In Be Cool (based on the novel by Elmore Leonard), Chili abandons the fickle movie business to bring his signature brand of wise-guy skills and negotiation tactics to the music industry.
The reviews Be Cool has received Stateside have been decidedly mixed, with one publication deeming it a ‘hip, kitsch and star-studded stroke of genius’, whilst on the flip-side, another somewhat disag-reed, referring to it as ‘the kind of sequel that gives sequels a bad name.’ The multitude of talent fronting the film should no doubt guarantee it a good innings at the box office, although the film’s director will sadly be unable to reap any productive benefits – he died of a heroin overdose shortly after filming was completed.
