moment Kerri Doherty knew she had won |
New
Birmingham Rose Kerri Doherty was crowned at Vaughan’s private
members club in Hall Green, Birmingham on Saturday April 30th.
Kerri, a Personal Account Manager at Lloyds TSB in Acocks Green, Birmingham,
was one of eight girls who competed on the night. She was said to be
shocked but elated by her success on the evening, and was grateful
to the Birmingham Rose Of Tralee Committee for giving her the opportunity
to take part.
Last year’s winner, Angela Crowley, was on hand to present Kerri
with her winner’s sash. She received her Waterford crystal rose
bowl from sponsor and judge on the evening Mr. John Fitzgerald (Minstrel
Music, Birmingham).
Birmingham Rose Of Tralee organisers Maria Cleary and Teresa Melody
once again put on another great event and can take much credit for
the successful evening. Now it’s on to the Midlands final, which
takes place at the Renaissance Hotel in Solihull on July 15th 2005.
I’m sure that Kerri Doherty has every chance of making it all
the way to Tralee! |

The
job of the Judges was diffucult on the night, but these

Fitzgerald (Minstrel Music, Birmingham) and Mrs. Margaret
