All-Ireland
Championship back on the agenda
Has
it really been eight months since Cork lifted the Liam McCarthy
cup and Tyrone triumphed to secure the Sam Maguire trophy? Well,
it has, and May sees the 2006 championship start again in earnest.
Football champions Tyrone start their defence against Derry on
May 28th in Omagh, while defeated finalists Kerry start their campaign
seven days earlier against Waterford in Killarney.
Hurling champions Cork’s first game in the competition is
away to Clare on May 28th and defeated finalists Galway’s
first fixture in the All-Ireland is still waiting to be confirmed.
As ever, you can keep up-to-date with all the developments by reading
the Harp during the summer.
