New line up announced for BBC Coventry and Warwickshire breakfast show
BBC radio presenter Shane O’Connor has finished-up on his popular morning radio show after almost five years.
Shane presented the breakfast show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire from Monday to Friday each week.
From this month Trish Adudu and Jo Tidman replace long-serving Shane as the anchors of the morning show on the station.
Paying tribute to Shane, head of regional and local programmes David Jennings said: “We’d like to thank Shane for his work on the breakfast show and we wish him well for the future.”
From the new year Trish and Jo will be entertaining and informing listeners across Coventry and the surrounding region through the morning commute.
The former is an award winning presenter who lives in Coventry and is a familiar face to TV viewers as a reporter on BBC One’s The One Show, as well as presenting the Midlands Today’s Saturday news bulletin.
Jo Tidman, who is from Stratford, is currently a newsreader and presenter at BBC West Midlands, based in Birmingham, and also appears regularly on Midlands Today.
BBC Coventry and Warwickshire’s managing editor Andrew Bowman said: “I am really excited to announce our new line-up.
“They are award winning presenters and journalists who will be putting their heart and soul into the programme.
“Trish is from Coventry and Jo from Warwickshire, so we can expect some lively discussions as well as expert local knowledge.”
Trish Adudu said: “I’m totally thrilled to be given the opportunity to present the breakfast show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. It’s a huge challenge and different to anything I’ve done before, because it’s right here in my home city.”
Jo Tidman added: “I am delighted to be returning to my roots and proud to be part of the new Coventry and Warwickshire breakfast show. I know Trish well and can’t wait to get going.”
