Ocean Colour Scene return to the Birmingham Irish Centre
To mark the 20th anniversary of their Moseley Shoals Album the band returned to those venues where it all began for them as a group.
In January 2016 the band played a number of small venues where they played 20 years previously at the time the album was released, The Birmingham Irish centre was one of these with venues with London and Glasgow being the others.
In their 23 year existence the band has notched up 9 albums, 3 of which went top 5 and a string of top 20 singles. It was the 1996 album that they played in full when they returned to a 800 capacity sell out proud at the Irish Centre.
If the aim was to re-kindle their relationship with their Birmingham fans, this was certainly achieved. From the moment Steve Craddock blasted into the Riverboat song, right through to Mile High City the Irish Centre crowd loved every note.
Lets hope its not another 20 years before we see them there again.
