Talented young film-maker celebrates achieving 12 A*’s GCSE’s

A talented young film-maker who has been featured in The Harp on a number of occasions is celebrating after achieving an outstanding set of GCSE results.

Kerri Donohoe was featured in the May 2014 edition of The Harp after winning the secondary film category of Parliament’s Education Service’s ‘Lights, Camera, Parliament’ film competition and this year she returned as a judge in the competition.

The competition asks young people aged 7-18 to tell Parliament what new law they would introduce in the UK in a three minute film.

Now Kerri has achieved 12 A*’s and an A in her GCSEs, with another A in additional maths.

Kerri was a pupil at Tudor Grange Academy in Solihull, but following her outstanding results she has been awarded a scholarship at Solihull School.

She said: “It just demonstrates that with determination and a desire to improve by acting on teachers’ feedback, anything is achievable.

“I would like to thank all my teachers for all their support and guidance through what was a very stressful period of my life.”
