After its very successful first outing last year, The Trip to Birmingham Tradfest returns between November 26th-29th, this time bigger and better!

This year the festival will be packed full with more concerts, more sessions and more workshops, all of which will have music fans from right across the UK and Ireland flocking to the Midlands city in their hundreds.

The stellar line-up of concerts showcases the full range of the best that Irish music has to offer. Acts for the festival include ‘Michael McGoldrick, Dezi Donnelly, Jim Murray and John Joe Kelly’, The Mairtin O’Connor Band, Sean Keane, Mary Bergin, Dermot Byrne and Floriane Blancke, The Mulcahys and many more. All tastes and ages will be catered for, with a packed schedule throughout the weekend to keep everyone occupied.

As well as the main evening concerts, on the Saturday afternoon there will be an album launch and also a brand new competition for acts under the age of 25.

For those not satisfied with all of this, after hours the late-night Festival Club will run on Friday and Saturday nights, headlined by Damien O’Kane and Damien Mullane respectively. Alternatively there is the chance to take part in this year’s increased session trail across the city’s Irish Quarter, featuring many travelling Irish musicians, or to attend a workshop with an expert tutor. Don’t miss out on one of the best line-ups of Irish music you are likely to see in the UK or Ireland for some time! For more information and to book tickets, visit
