With Christmas well and truly over and everyone taking their first steps into the new year, our attention turns to that wilting Christmas trees in the corner of our rooms, and more to the point, what we should do with them.

Birmingham City Council has confirmed its Christmas tree recycling arrangements for January 2016.

The council have confirmed that as in previous years, real Christmas trees will be accepted until the end of the month at Woodgate Country Park, Lickey Hills Country Park, Sheldon Country Park and Sutton Park.

They will also be accepted at each of the city’s five Household Recycling Centres (Council Tips):

  • Tameside Drive, Castle Bromwich, B35 7AG
  • Lifford Lane, Kings Norton, B30 3JJ
  • Holford Drive, Perry Barr, B42 2TU
  • Norris Way, Sutton Coldfield, B75 7BB
  • James Road, Tyseley, B11 2BA

However, ff you have a van or a car with a large trailer, you will need a permit to use a Household Recycling Centre.
